v ORACLE INSTALLATION 8.0.5 ENTER PRIZE EDITION:

a) Insert the CD into CD Rom Labeled Oracle 8.0.5 it is auto play

b) Click begin installation in small window that appears

c) it then asks Company name (in capital letters)

d) Location=D:\ORANT than ok (in capital) Also check if previous installation exists, IF YES then rename

e) Custom installation ok

f) All product double click & scroll down to select ORACLE 8 enter prize edition 8.0.5 than ok

g) Typical configuration ok

h) Yes legato storage ok

i) Passward = abc , abc ok

j) American language yes ok. AFTER THE SUCCESSFUL INSTALLATION,

I. Oracle 7 utilization 7.3.4.0.0 click it and press CTR button and scroll down & click

II. Required support files 7.3.4.1.1 hold the CTR button and select

III. SQL PLUS 8.0.5.0.0 than click install and click yes button and click exit installer . are u sure click yes .

After installation go to:

I. D:\ORANT folder and

II. Delete this folder “ORAINST”

III. Go to D:\ORANT\BIN and rename the file “Exp73.exe” to “Exp72.exe”.(some times “.exe” extension is not visible so don’t worry)

v DEVELOPER INTALLATION:

a) Click on setup file

b) Language “English”

c) Company name like “SMI SOFT” and path ok

d) Typical ok

e) Some of the files from Microsoft ok .(Now the installation will run & complete)
